Today it lists 23 schools: British, German and French international schools, and Portuguese private colégios in Porto, Matosinhos and Vila Nova de Gaia. The public school groups of the municipality of Porto are included too.

Frequently asked questions

Which schools do you cover in Porto?

23 schools so far: four international schools (Oporto British School, CLIP, the Deutsche Schule zu Porto and the Lycée Français International de Porto) four Portuguese colégios (Rosário, Grande Colégio Universal, Efanor and Colégio de Gaia), and the 15 public school groups of the municipality of Porto. Each has its own page with ages, curriculum and the fees the school publishes.

Are there British schools in Porto?

Yes. Oporto British School in Foz do Douro teaches ages 3 to 18 and leads to the IB Diploma, and CLIP follows the National Curriculum for England with IGCSE and A-Levels.

Are there German and French schools in Porto?

Yes. The Deutsche Schule zu Porto leads to the German international Abitur, and the Lycée Français International de Porto follows the French curriculum.

A school I know is missing. Why?

It has not been checked yet, not ruled out. We add schools region by region and publish a profile only once its details are confirmed on the school's own website or an official register. Nurseries, other colégios and public schools in nearby municipalities such as Matosinhos and Gaia will follow.
